Career Workshops for majors & minors

finding internships & jobs workshop

The Department of Writing and Linguistics at Georgia Southern University invites W&L majors and minors to a series of career workshops held during fall 2016. Dr. Melissa Carrion, Dr. Joanna Schreiber, and Professor Christina Olson will host four career workshops:

  • “Finding Jobs and Internships” on Wednesday, September 14
  • “The Rhetoric of Résumés and Cover Letters” on Wednesday, October 12
  • “Peer-Reviewing Résumés and Cover Letters” on Wednesday, October 19
  • “Creating Your Elevator Pitch” on Wednesday, November 9

All workshops will be held in Newton 1114 from 5:30-7 pm. For more information, contact Dr. Schreiber.

The Department of Writing and Linguistics is housed in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Georgia Southern’s College of the Creative Mind.
