Successful teachers from elementary through college level and from all subject areas participate in an Invitational Summer Institute at Georgia Southern University to learn how to improve their teaching of writing, to be better writers, and to conduct inservice demonstrations for Georgia schools. The Summer Institute Outcomes address many teacher needs.

The National Writing Project reports that “National research studies have confirmed significant gains in writing performance among students of teachers who have participated in NWP programs.”

The Georgia Southern Writing Project seeks nominations for potential Fellows to attend our Invitational Summer Institute.  If you or someone you know might be interested in participating, please mail or fax an application or a nomination form.

The invitational summer institute is at the core of NWP's model of "teachers-teaching-teachers," and the Georgia Southern Writing Project has lots to offer.
