Possible Graphic Novel/Trade Paperback Collections for WRIT 3030
Graphic novels tell a single, self-contained story with more pages than a single issue comic. Trade paperbacks are compilations of several single-issue comics. Typically, they contain a single “story arc” – a self-contained story within a title, written and/or drawn by the same writer or artist. There is room for overlap between the two forms; both Watchmen and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, for example, are graphic novels originally published in serial comic book form.
