The
B.A. degree meets the needs of students who want substantive preparation
in sociology and a minor area of concentration. Under this degree it is
also possible to complete a double major -- sociology and second discipline
-- within the 125 hours required for graduation. The B.A. degree in sociology
provides strong liberal arts preparation for entry level positions in
the fields of business, social service, and government. You can use your
degree to pursue careers as: program directors, managers, analysts, customer
service representatives, sales representatives, law enforcement officers,
etc. Or, the B.A. degree in sociology provides the necessary prerequisites
for graduate school training -- Master of Arts or the Doctor of Philosophy.
