At Georgia Southern, Psychology = Success
Exciting things are happening at the Psychology Department. Our award-winning professors act as mentors to our students, working closely to teach them the research and clinical skills they need to go on to accomplish big things. And they do. Both at the undergraduate and at the graduate level, Georgia Southern Psychology students publish research in professional journals and win awards at conferences as they explore fascinating questions about behavior, emotion and thought.
Our experimental MS students learn psychology in greater depth and with more sophistication. They go on to work in education, industry, and to pursue further graduate study at other universities.
Students enrolled in our PsyD program use psychology's scientific foundation to help people navigate life's challenges. Under the supervision of licensed faculty, Georgia Southern Psychology students reach out to the community to provide help in stressful times.
Big Goals
Psychology is one of the largest majors at Georgia Southern, and we are growing. We have a unique graduate program designed to meet a critical shortage of mental health care in rural areas. We are committed to doing more, and you can help us make a difference in people's lives.
