New Faculty to Start in Fall, 2007

Three new faculty will be starting in the Department in the Fall: Dr. Virginia DeRoma , a clinical psychologist, is coming to us most recently from The Citadel.   Dr. DeRoma will be joining us as an Associate Professor and will be teaching both in our undergraduate and Psy.D. programs.   Dr. Karen Naufel , a newly-minted Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas, is a social/health psychologist.   She will be joining us as an Assistant Professor and will teach both undergraduate and graduate courses.   Dr. Nancy Yanchus, an Industrial/Organizational psychologist from the University of Georgia, will join us this year as a Temporary instructor.   We are excited about these new faculty additions and welcome them to the department.

Farewell to Drs. Ferdinand and Wiegand

We are saddened by the resignation of two faculty members this year:   Drs. Lisa Ferdinand and Kathy Wiegand both left Georgia Southern to pursue opportunities in the Atlanta area and to be nearer to family.   We will miss them both and wish them the best.
