Southern Georgia Symphony Plays in Savannah

For the first time in almost three years since the Savannah Symphony declared bankruptcy in 2003, the sweet sounds of symphony are back in Savannah.

The Southern Georgia Regional Symphony held its first concert last night at the Wesleyan Church on Abercorn Street. The symphony is made up of Georgia Southern students, civic players and professional players from throughout the region. The symphony begins its full concert schedule in the fall.
