Channel Noise: Electronic Music

Georgia Southern's Director of Music Technology, Dr. John Thompson, brought an international representation of cutting-edge audio and audio-visual works in the Channel Noise concert. Using a multchannel diffusion setup, compositions from Argentina, Germany, England, Australia, and the United States were presented.

Dr. Thompson's own work "Contortio Ratio" was presented on the program along with performances and compositions from Georgia Southern music students: Michael Olson, Yemin Oh, and Alex Sellers.


John Sampen and Mark Bunce

John Sampen and Mark Bunce (Bowling Green State University) visited Georgia Southern to present their "Mysterious Morning" concert and to provide Master Classes to Saxophone students, Composers, and Music Technology Students.


Linda Cionitti's "Jag and Jersey out on CD.


Faculty member and clarinetist extraordaire, Dr. Linda Cionitti, has released a new CD Jag & Jersey on the MSR Classics label. The CD features compositions by Libby Larsen, James David, and other works for clarinet. Also featured on the CD is the Georgia Southern University Symphonic Wind Ensemble, directed by Dr. Robert Dunham.
