Southern Saxophones

Southern Saxophones, the Georgia Southern University saxophone ensemble, is active on campus and throughout southeast Georgia. Since its inception in 1999, Southern Saxophones and the Southern Quartet have performed for Youth Arts Day, Winds at Southern, Earth Day, the Better Breathers Association, Scholar’s Day, and the Georgia Music Educators Association Inservice Conference.

 

 

 

Night of Wild Sax is our annual concert of saxophone chamber music which features saxophone ensembles from duos through the 10 piece Southern Saxophones, In addition, the saxophone studio has hosted the following guest artists and clinicians since 1997:

Master Chief James Rodak - United States Naval Academy
