About Anna:
Anna Thibeault, a native of California, also teaches at East Georgia College and plays with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra. While living in Atlanta she was Principal Flute of the Atlanta Chamber Orchestra, the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra, and the Municipal Theater Orchestra as well as a regular extra player with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and Instructor of Flute at Georgia State University.   While living in London, England, she played with the English Symphony Orchestra   and the flute and harp duo, Arpeggione, and taught at the Roehampton Institute. She was also an examiner for the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, listening to young musicians throughout England and Europe.
Her teachers include Joanne Bourquin; Paul Renzi, Principal Flute of the San Francisco Symphony; Walfrid Kujala, Piccoloist with the Chicago Symphony; Albert Tipton, Principal Flute of the Detroit Symphony; and Geoffrey Gilbert, famous English flutist. She is the Founder and Course Director for the Wildacres Flute Retreat, which gathers flutists from many countries and thoughout the United States for a week of intensive flute study each June in the mountains of North Carolina.
