Music Educators National Conference

The mission of MENC The National Association for Music Education is to advance music education as a profession and to ensure that every child in America has access to a balanced, sequential, high-quality education that includes music as a core subject of study. The 88,000 members of MENC comprise professional music educators at every level as well as members of more than 600 collegiate chapters.

Members of the GSU chapter of CMENC have opportunities for professional development at the local, state, and national levels. Students receive the GMEA Music News, Teaching Music, and the Music Educator's Journal. Joint membership in GMEA entitles collegiate members to free registration at the annual state convention in Savannah. GSU chapter members serve as hosts on music department audition days and organize the Instrument Zoo during Southern Says Thanks.
