Audition Information for Potential Music Majors
Prospective Music Majors must successfully complete an Entrance Audition prior to acceptance into any music degree. The Entrance Audition will also serve as the Scholarship Audition for qualified students. Although all students will be considered for scholarship, preference will be given to students who audition prior to March 15th of their senior year.

Each applicant must provide a copy of their academic transcript and at least one letter of reference.
Audition Information for Non Music Majors
INFORMATION FOR CURRENT GEORGIA SOUTHERN STUDENTS:
Auditions and placement for Fall 2007 have concluded.
Choirs:
Current Georgia Southern students who wish to participate in a choir Spring of 2008 may register for University Singers or Women's Choir (Georgia Southern Chorale is only open for audition in the fall). Please contact Dr. Adam Con (Associate Director of Choral Activities) for audition and registration instructions. Students who wish to audition for Georgia Southern Chorale Fall of 2006 should contact Dr. Rodney Caldwell (Director of Choral Activities) for audition instructions
Opera:
Students interested in Opera Theater should contact Dr. Arikka Gregory for information about auditions and casting for Spring 2008.
Choirs:
Students may elect to audition for placement in Georgia Southern Chorale, or may simply register for University Singers at Summer Orientation and Registration (no audition required). Non music majors who wish to be considered for Georgia Southern Chorale MUST attend one of the Entrance Audition Dates (listed above). The audition requirements for non majors interested in GSC are not the same as those listed above. Please contact Dr. Rodney Caldwell (Director of Choral Activities) for details, and to schedule the audition.
Opera:

Scholarship and Service Award Information
Music Department Foundation Scholarships are available to music majors only, and are secured through the Entrance Audition process (described above). No additional audition is required in order to be considered for scholarship.
Service Awards are available to all students regardless of major. Returning students qualify for service awards based upon the outcome of auditions in the fall of each year. Potential music majors completing an Entrance Audition automatically qualify for service award consideration. New non-music majors can qualify for service awards by auditioning for Georgia Southern Chorale at one of the spring Entrance Audition Dates (process described above).
