Degree Programs

Degree programs offered through the Georgia Southern University Department of Music are designed to prepare talented students for careers in concert or jazz performance, music education, composition and arranging, or the general music industry. A special core of music courses in addition to the general core curriculum, followed by specialized courses specific to the major area of study are included. Students find additional musical and cultural opportunities through concerts, workshops, and master classes by visiting performers, and participation in one or more of the department's many ensembles. All music courses are taught by full time faculty members or by professional performer/teachers. The Department of Music is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.
