Justice
Studies majors must meet with an academic advisor before registering each
semester. Students with 45 credit hours or less are advised at the College
of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) Advisement Center. Students
with more than 45 hours are advised by a professor in the justice studies
program. To find out who your advisor is, stop by the program offices and
check the advising bulletin board.
Students are
responsible for keeping track of their progress toward their degree.
Students are
responsible for scheduling an appointment with a graduation counselor at
the Registrar's
office three semesters before they plan to graduate.
Students are
responsible for scheduling an appointment with their advisor well before
the time they are able to register for courses.
Students should arrive at their meeting with their advisor prepared. They should draft a list of preferred and alternate courses for the next semester. Also, they should come prepared to ask questions about course selection, preparation for graduation, and career planning.
