Prof. Rebecca Davis

On July 11, 2017, Georgia Public Broadcasting’s daily news talk show On Second Thought  aired a twenty-minute interview with Justice Leah Ward Sears about her life and upcoming biography, Justice Leah Ward Sears: Seizing Serendipity, authored by Prof. Rebecca Davis. The Fulton County Daily Report also reported on Justice Sear’s biography.   In 1992 Sears became the first woman and youngest justice to sit on the Supreme Court of Georgia. In 2005, she became the first African American woman to serve as chief justice of any state supreme court in the country. The book can be purchased on Amazon and UGA Press.
