Georgia Southern University administers a substantial range of
scholarships, fellowships, and loans, some of which are specifically
designed to assist minorities. Additionally, the Department of History
has the following scholarships at its direct disposal. The Maxann Foy History Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding undergraduate or graduate history major. 2009-2010 recipient is Ms. Victoria Crane.
The Sally T. Gershman Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a female undergraduate or graduate history major with an academic concentration in French history and/or European Women's history. 2009-2010 recipient is Ms. Leah Whitney Jackson.
The George A. Rogers, Jr., Scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate or graduate history major with a 3.5 GPA or better. 2009-2010 recipient is Mr. Pace Jenkins
The Michael E. Shaw Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding undergraduate or graduate history major. 2009-2010 recipient is Ms. Kristen D. Grantham.
The Julia Floyd Smith Scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate or graduate history major with a 3.0 GPA or better. 2009-2010 recipient is Ms. Elaine Warren-Aliff.
The Ruffin Scholarship is for freshmen students majoring in English, History, Writing and Linguistics, or Foreign Languages.
