History Minor Requirements

The GSU History Department offers a Minor in History. The History Minor is useful skill-set enhancement for many majors, including Business, Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, the Sciences, and Economics.

The requirements for a History Minor are very straightforward. The History Minor is 21 credit hours. Students must complete the following:

HIST 1112 World Civ. II (3 hrs. - already required for Core)
HIST 2110 US: A Survey (3 hrs. - already required for Core)
HIST 2000-5000 Level (15 hrs.)

Upper-level History courses do not have prerequisites, so students pursuing the History Minor may take whatever upper-level courses they choose to satisfy the 15 hour upper-level course requirement.

Be sure to declare History as your minor with the Registrar's Office.
