MASTERS of ARTS IN HISTORY ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Applicants seeking admission to the graduate program in history must have: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or its equivalent from a foreign university An undergraduate major in history, or at least 15 semester hours (or the quarter-system equivalent) of history and a total of 30 hours in the social sciences and humanities A cumulative 3.0 GPA on all undergraduate work (though consideration will be given to applicants with a 2.75 GPA) and a 3.0 GPA in history, with no grade in history lower than a C. A minimum score of 500 on the verbal portion, and a minimum of 500 on the quantitative or analytical portion of the Graduate Record Examination. Applicants scoring lower than 500 on either portion will be considered, but will need to show strong evidence of his/her ability to perform satisfactorily in graduate level work For additional information about the Graduate Program please contact: DR.
