TRAVEL INFORMATION

Travel Documents

  • All students will need a valid passport to enter Spain. Please secure the passport as soon as possible (passport applications may be obtained from some U.S. Post Offices in large cities or through some travel agents.)
  • Medical and liability documents must be submitted before departure date, and students must show proof of medical and liability insurance.
  • It is recommended that students purchase the CIEE International Student Identification Card, which can be obtained through the Center for International Studies (Forest Dr. Bldg. 1313).

Air Transportation for SUMMER program

We make available to participants, at their option, a group transatlantic flight which allows for individual extension beyond the program dates. Student assumes financial responsibility for getting to the point of departure of the transatlantic flight (usually Atlanta, Miami, or New York). Students are welcome to make their own travel arrangements, but must be in Segovia by the starting date of the program of studies (See DETAILS) and may not leave until the conclusion of final exams.

Personal Travel

Students are free to travel on week-ends. One long (4-day) week-end is included during the Summer program for personal travel.

Additional information about these programs may be obtained from Dr. Jorge W. Suazo.
