Language Laboratory Policies
- The lab will be open from the first through
the last day of classes. The lab will NOT be open during breaks
and final exam days nor on weekends and legal holidays.
- Typically, the lab is open Monday through
Friday from 8am to 4pm (on some days to 5pm). A weekly schedule
for the term is posted at the lab.
- At certain times, the lab is reserved
for specific classes. Also, an unscheduled class may occupy the
lab. Therefore, the schedule is not posted here as it would not
necessarily reflect that. Stop by or call to inquire if the lab
is open at any given time.
- Do not enter when a class occupies the
lab. The lab is open for general use at all other times.
- If you have questions, need to drop off
or pick up a tape etc., go to room 1230 (next door) and talk to
the lab staff.

Instructions
for Accessing the Audio Files
You can access the audio files in two ways:
- Enter WebCT
(now my.georgiasouthern.edu) using the username and password given
to you by your instructor (or ask him/her) to log on and into
Foreign Language Lab. No other combinations will get you to this
"course". Note that both username and password must
be spelled correctly and in lower case. Obviously, you can do
this from anywhere (including our lab).
- Come to the language lab and use the Sony
software installed there. Username and password are not required.
The lab assistants can show you how to use this software (which
is available in the lab only).

Useful Tips
- Select the appropriate language, course,
lesson, and/or section. In most cases, the files are logically
coordinated with your workbook/lab manual and/or textbook. Typically,
you will need the respective book(s) to be able to complete the
associated exercises.
- The sound quality is generally very good.
However, keep in mind that there may be technical problems beyond
our control.
- All files are copyrighted. They are made
available for your convenience within the context of using them
for the appropriate language classes. YOU are violating copyright
laws if you redistribute them in any way, shape or form.
- Don't forget to check the Language Laboratory
Schedule posted on the main door to the lab for more information
concerning availability.
