B.A. Degree

B.A. degree students MUST take FORL 2001 and FORL 2002 (or pass these courses by taking local proficiency exams) if they continue the same language (that they took in high school).

B.A. degree students who choose to start a DIFFERENT language may take all four courses (FORL 1001, 1002, 2001, 2002). All will count toward graduation.

B.S. Degree

B.S. degree students MUST take FORL 1001, 1002, and 2001 (or pass these courses by taking local proficiency exams) if they continue the same language (that they took in high school).

B.S. degree students who choose to start a DIFFERENT language must take FORL 1001 and FORL 1002. Both will count toward graduation.

NOTE: Students subject to CPC may not get "duplicate" credit by repeating the first two courses of a language they took in high school.

IMPORTANT NOTE!
FORL refers to the specific language chosen:

CHIN (Chinese)
FREN (French)
GRMN (German)
LATN (Latin)
SPAN (Spanish)
