Mock Mediation Club takes 8 awards at regional competition

The Mock Mediation Club won 8 awards at the regional competition at Brenau University on October 11, 2014

Georgia Southern mediation teams won 1st place for collaborative advocacy, and came in 2nd and 4th place for team mediation. Individual members won 1st place awards in mediator, advocate, and client categories.

CrimJustice_IconThe Mock Mediation Club won eight awards at the regional competition hosted by Brenau University on October 10-11, 2014, and will represent the Southeast region at the upcoming International Mock Mediation Tournament in November. Dr. Laura Agnich is the faculty advisor for the Georgia Southern Mock Mediation Club.

Team Awards (Regional Ranking):
  • 1st Place Collaborative Advocacy Team – Georgia Southern University
  • 2nd Place Mediation Team – Georgia Southern University
  • 4th Place Mediation Team – Georgia Southern University

Individual Awards (Regional Ranking):

  • 1st Place Individual Mediator – Dylan John
  • 1st Place Individual Advocate – Alec Bunkley
  • 1st Place Individual Client – Giselle Devot
  • 3rd Place Individual Advocate – Jessica Shanken
