Students study in Morocco during Term A
Eleven students spent their Summer Term A in a state-of-the-art school in the capital city of Rabat, Morocco, studying Arabic language and culture. The students were immersed in the language and culture through Arabic language classes, daily visits to historical sites, museums, art galleries, local nonprofit organizations, bazaars, and attending cultural workshops. The workshops included calligraphy, cooking, and music. The students also went on weekend excursions to several cities in the country, where they experienced the geographical and cultural diversity of Morocco through many activities, such as riding camels in the Sahara Dessert, feeding monkeys in the Atlas Mountains, and swimming in the Mediterranean. The program was lead by Arabic Lecturer Youssef Salhi.
