The Betty Foy Sandesr Department of Art houses many student organizations, such as:

- The DG (Design Group)
- The Jewelry Guild

- Student Chapter of the National Art Education Association (NAEA)
- The Student Government Association (SGA)
- The Gallery Crew
- Southern Scupture Alliance
- The Student Art League
- Graphics & Printing Association (GPA)

These student ortganizations encourage involvement in the art world through field trips, visiting artist lectures and residencies, film programs, specialty workshops, seminars in professional practices, annual sales and exhibition events, attendance at professional conferences, or service to the profession and community.

Sponsored by faculty, these groups not only involve students in their community and their profession, but with one another. Through these student organization experiences students expand their artistic and social interests while networking and investing in their profession.
