“We’ve entered a new imagination-inspired ecosystem that rewards ideation over mere production, and marks creativity as an undeniable catalyst to an organization’s success.” (Forbes Magazine, 2011)

A creative degree is a viable option. The BFSDoArt develops students into thinkers and managers. Offering a wide range of degrees, we have graduated individuals who are successful entrepreneurs, designers, project managers, studio artists and scholars.

Events

New Student Tours

At the start of every year, we invite students and their families to take a break from moving in to join the BFSDoArt and cool off and ask some last minute questions and ease some jitters before the start of the new academic year. Meet BFSDoArt faculty and staff in a smaller setting. Get help finding your Art/GCM course? We’ll show them. Not 100% certain about course selections? We’ll advise them.

BFSDoArt Convocation

At the beginning of every academic year, we invite all BFSDoArt students to join together to kick off the new academic year. During the BFSDoArt Convocation we welcome new students, introduce faculty, go over the year’s events and any other important student announcements. In addition, we hand out department goodies and invite others to do so as well (like Dick Blick and Utrecht)!

Large-Scale, Small-Feel

icon_askbetty_pplWhile the Georgia Southern campus is large – nearly 1000 acres and more than 20,000 students – your scholar will find a place among the smaller communities of outstanding professors and the friendly and personal environment will provide your student with the individual attention he or she needs for success. At Georgia Southern, your student will experience the best of a large-scale University and a small-feel environment.
