Marc Moulton, MFA, Ohio State University, is an associate professor of sculpture and the director of the Master of Fine Arts Graduate Programin the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art. His artwork focuses on creating large installations for public spaces.
Moulton’s permanent and collected artworks include installations in Suwanee, Ga., and at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville; Waukee Family YMCA in Waukee, Iowa; Ogeechee Technical College; and Georgia Southern University.
As a dedicated scholar of art, Moulton has been awarded several grants for the past seven years for visiting artists to present at Georgia Southern. Artists such as Robert Craig, Andrew Crawfords, Kee Ho Yuen, and Luke Achterberg have all presented and conducted studio visits with Moulton’s advanced and graduate art students.
Moulton’s dedication to and excellence in art have been recognized through his nomination for the CLASS Award of Distinction, Georgia Southern University; Artist of the Month, Fulton Country Public Art Program; and Best in Show, 51st annual Quad-State Juried Exhibition, Quincy Art Center, Quincy, Ill. Moulton was named the 2012-2013 recipient Georgia Southern University’s Excellence in Research/Creative Scholarly Activity. This prestigious award recognizes faculty who excel in their research efforts in addition to fulfilling regular full-time teaching responsibilities.
