Hans Mortensen, MS, Rochester Institute of Technology, is an associate professor of graphic communications management in the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art.

Mortensen gained extensive industry experience while working as the Pre-Press Technologist at the T&E Center at Rochester Institute of Technology and as the Pre-Press Supervisor at Durraprint Inc.

This experience prompted his poster designs and advertising material for Georgia Southern’s Department of Communications Arts, theater and performance program, and as the webmaster for the Georgia Southern Equestrian Team. His has received awards for his websites, including Website of the Year for Georgia Southern CRI Club Sports & the Georgia Southern equestrian site, and he received Faculty Advisor of the Year award at Georgia Southern.

Mortensen is involved in the Sustainability Project at Georgia Southern, working with the University Sustainability office, graphic design faculty, and students to promote sustainability on campus through the development and production of signs, graphics, and dissemination of information projects. He has also completed educational tours for the Averitt Center for the Arts.
