Jessica Hines, MFA, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, is a professor of photography in the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art.
Hines has been recognized globally for her photography. Awards include the Kolga Award for Best Experimental Photography, Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia; Humanitarian Documentary Grant, Pollux Awards, Buenos Aires, Argentina; First Prize in Fine Art Portfolio, for My Brother’s War, Worldwide Photography Gala Awards, Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Grand Prize in the Lens Culture international competition, Paris, France.
She was published by Ken Johnson in the New York Times with an art review of the New York Photo Festival. Her work is also featured on New York photo researcher Paula Gillen’s website.
While at Georgia Southern University, Hines has led three study abroad courses to China and Vietnam.
