& Foundations Director
Jessica Burke, MFA, University of North Carolina, is an assistant professor and director of foundations studies in the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art.
She maintains professional affiliations with Foundations in Art: Theory and Education (FATE), Southeastern College Art Conference, and National Women’s Caucus for Art.
Burke has had solo exhibitions at Artspace Gallery in Richmond, Va.; the Cannon Gallery in Portland, Ore.; and the Adirondack Center for the Arts in New York. Her work has also been included in group exhibitions such as the ArtVenice Biennale Project, Venice, Italy; and the Women and Body Exhibition, Kepco Museum, Seoul, South Korea.
She has participated in artist residencies in Italy, Canada, and in the northwest United States. Her work is in both public and private collections throughout the U.S., the United Kingdom, Japan, Korea, Holland, and Italy.
