Sarah Bielski, MFA, State University of New York at Stony Brook, is an assistant professor of foundation studies at the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art.
A native of Michigan, Bielski, after obtaining her BFA at Michigan State University, spent a year pursuing post-baccalaureate work at the Art Institute of Chicago. She has given several presentations in the Indiana region, such as Feminist Art Symposium, New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary At, New Harmony, Ind., and Liberal Arts Faculty Colloquium, University of southern Indiana, Evansville, Ind.
Bielski has been awarded Second Place, Third Place, Honorable Mention, and Award of Merit in national juried exhibitions. She was also awarded the College of Liberal Arts Faculty Development Grant while instructing at the University of Southern Indiana.
She maintains her professional development in foundational studies through her affiliation with the Foundations in Art Theory and Education conferences and the College Art Association.
