FACULTY BACKGROUND
Ink is in my blood. My Father taught printing, my Uncle taught printing and my Mother taught art. I was drawn in at an early age and have loved every minute of it.

Throughout high school and college, I worked for several companies doing everything, starting with cleaning press, photography, press operator and bindery. After college, I estimated for a small printer and later entered sales for a larger Iowa printer.

I began teaching high school graphic arts in 1980. Entered the Graphic Communications program at Eastern Illinois University 1985 as an Instructor and advanced to Associate Professor. In 1996, I joined the Printing Management program which was later changed to Graphic Communications Management.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Practice, practice, practice! Just like in sports, the practice of knowledge and processes improves one ability to quickly make decisions and assess situations. The world is looking for thinkers and problem solvers.
