Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art presents “Continuum” alumni exhibition in August
The Georgia Southern University Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art (BFSDoArt) will present “Continuum,” its 2017 alumni biennial exhibition, from Aug. 14 to Sept. 15 in the Contemporary Gallery at the Center for Art and Theatre on campus. A reception will be held Thursday, Aug. 31 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Highlighting the diverse professional art practices and continued creative endeavors of BFSDoArt alumni, this exhibition showcases an interdisciplinary selection of painting, drawing, ceramics, graphic design, photography, prints and sculpture. Featured artists are Robert Chandler, Eric Clark, Alfred Conteh, Amy Fix, Grayson Hoffman, Jason McCoy and Max Rebel.
“However dynamic an art department is in and of itself, the true test comes in seeing what its graduates end up doing once they’ve finished school,” says Gallery Director Jason Hoelscher, MFA. “I think the diversity of approaches, styles, disciplines and media featured in this exhibition is a true testament to the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art’s interdisciplinary approach, and to the hard work and creative drive of our alumni. Not to mention, and most crucially, the exhibition itself is a real attention-grabber, offering great art and design work to look at and think about.”
