Department to Offer Visitation Days for Prospective Students

Spend the Day with the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art
Seeing is believing, and there’s no better way to experience Georgia Southern than by visiting the campus.

Georgia Southern University’s Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art (BFSDoArt) and the Office of Admissions have joined forces to make the most out of the University’s upcoming Open House for prospective students. On Friday, November 15th, the Department of Art will host a Visitation Day from 11:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the University’s campus in Statesboro, Georgia.

During their visit, prospective students and their guest will enjoy lunch while they meet with degree-specific faculty, staff and students. In addition, they will tour BFSDoArt studio and lab faculties and have any questions answered. Students will be able to see first-hand how they can succeed with a creative degree from Georgia Southern! While the BFSDoArt does not require a portfolio for admittance, the Department will offer a portfolio critique to those interested.

The BFSDoArt offers the following degrees:

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.): Art History & Studio Art
Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.): 2D, 3D & Graphic Design
Bachelor of Science (B.S.): Graphic Communications Management (Printing Management)

On Saturday, November 16th, The Office of Admissions will host an Open House from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  During the Open House, students will receive information they need about Georgia Southern’s academic programs, student life and admission requirements. Additionally, they may take a campus tour, see a residence hall and choose from several other academic buildings to visit.

Interested parties may sign up for the Department of Art Visitation Day, at GeorgiaSouthern.edu/art/visit and Open House at admissions.GeorgiaSouthern.edu/visit/events
