Alumna Kristin Kyzer displays artwork at Kalmanson

An exhibition of multiple silkscreened images, called serigraphy, opens at the Kalmanson Gallery this month. The work is richly layered with imagery and meaning which focuses on the personal experiences of Georgia Southern University Masters of Fine Arts graduate, Kristin Lawhorn Kyzer. Kristin, wife and mother of two, currently teaches at East Georgia State College.
An artist’s reception will be held August 9th, from 6-8:00pm for Kyzer and her artwork. The gallery show will remain on display through September 6th. Mrs. Kyzer’s show may be viewed during regular office hours Tuesdays through Fridays from 10am to 4pm. Guided individual and group tours are available. School, daycare, civic and business groups are encouraged to call in advance to schedule a convenient time.
A musical event follows at the Main Street Market, with performances by Larry Hooks and Hard Labor Creek, from 8-10:00pm.
