Perry W. Buffington

Business consultant Perry Buffington, Ph.D., is widely recognized for his books, articles, Perry Buffingtonradio show, television appearances, and lectures. “Dr. Buff,” as he is known, earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Georgia Southern University in 1972. His 1978 Ph.D. in psychology launched his career.

A popular lecturer on management and parenting issues, the Fernandina Beach, Fla., resident appears on “Good Morning Jacksonville,” hosts the “Dr. Buff Show” on an Atlanta radio station, and hosts the show “ParentWise.” His lectures focus on maximizing creativity, understanding leadership and charisma, and coping with change and problem-solving. His articles on human behavior have appeared in national and international media including Saturday Evening Post, The New York Times, World Executive Digest, and New Woman.

Buffington is a noted author whose book Archival Atlanta, A Storyteller’s History of Our City was written for the 1996 Olympics. Other books including Cheap Psychological Tricks: What to do When Hard Work, Honesty and Perseverance Fail and Natural Born Leaders: Why People Blindly Follow draw on lessons learned in management psychology.
